Recording Arts Diploma Program
The Recording Arts Program runs for 48 weeks and provides students with the fundamentals needed to enter a real career in the entertainment industry. We emphasize hands-on experience, and students practice learned skills in our large professional recording studio, and in live situations, with real clients. The programme covers a broad base of subjects that are delivered by industry professionals and guest instructors who provide a wide and varied scope of expertise and experience.
Because we keep class sizes small our students have the opportunity to do most of their learning either in our recording studio, or out in the field working on real projects with industry partners. Students will manipulate existing sound files on their own Pro-Tools work station to build up the skills to record their own projects. They will learn their way around a studio, how to rig up a venue for sound, the history of their industry and, how to produce urban music. When they graduate they will be leaving with credit on professional recordings and their Pro-Tools workstation. What makes Atlantica’s Recording Arts program different? Our partnerships with local businesses, venues and community groups. These partnerships provide real life work experience that students gain by rolling up their sleeves and working side by side with the pro’s on location.COURSE CONTENT
